I just love working on virtual machines, they are best for trying apps in a separate OS without messing with main system. I work in VMware Workstation 8, which is pretty much a good one fore me. After working for months with it finally the first problem occurred. "The VMware Authorization Service Is Not Running ".
Hopefully I finally managed to fix it by simple doing some setting in VMware Administrative Tools. VMware needs authorization to start-up, which is handled by VMware Authorization Service. This service tells the virtual machines where to start-up manually or automatically. This problem occurs if the default value is set to automatically. Changing the Service Type and Service Status will do the job.
Now head towards Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > VMware Authorization Service. Set the Startup Type to Manual and Service Status to Started (video tutorial ). Now open your VMware Player it should work now.
#Note: Make sure you have tried running VMware Player with administrative rights before heading to this solution.
