How To Prevent User Changing Lock Screen Image in Windows 8 or 8.1?

Lock Screen is one of the new features in Windows 8 series. It adds a touch screen swipe feature to unlock your locked PC. If some of you didn't like the lock screen feature don't worry you can disable it.

Some of our colleague love to mess with our system. Hence we end up with change in settings, wallpaper etc. Here with this tutorial you can prevent users from changing your lock screen image. Lets begin.

1. Start RUN dialog box by pressing WIN + R key.
2. Type gpedit.msc and press Enter. This will open Local Group Policy Editor.
3. Now go to:
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization
4. Head over to right-side panel, double click on "Prevent changing lock screen image" and set the State to Enabled.

Now you have successfully disabled the option for changing lock screen image. You can see by going to:
Charms Bar -> Settings -> Change PC settings -> Lock Screen

You can revert the changes back by going back to same Local Group Policy Editor and setting the State to Not Configured
