How to Show Desktop background on Start Screen in Windows 8.1

Microsoft finally allows on Windows 8.1 to set your start menu background as same as desktop. Because of this you will be able use a single wallpaper for both for Desktop and 8.1 Start screen background. You can also backup the Start screen if you do not want to change it.

Should you really do this? Make it clear, you are going to enjoy and feel more personal using you 8.1 Start screen and Desktop. Believe me it is worthy!

Let's Start:

  1. Right-click on Taskbar and select Properties option.
  2. Taskbar and Navigation properties open.
  3. Go to "Navigation" Tab and on "Start screen" section select "Show my desktop background on Start". Hit OK.

Congratulations! you'r done. Now head to your own Windows 8.1 Start menu to see the background.
